A Song About Jealousy

https://youtu.be/_DkWIQ5pp_w?t=5277

One who is jealous, miserly, and dishonest is not accounted ‘good’ (sadhurupa) merely by reason of his speechifying or beautiful complexion.

A man's advice to one who is desperate for sensual gain

Great post(s) that I found. I don't agree with all of it, but overall it's solid advice:

You are looking externally for what must be found internally. Why do you want to get rich, "get laid" and "go on unique adventures?" If you follow these questions, and the additional questions following these queries generates, you will eventually resolve your problem. Questioning is the most powerful "magic" ever, particularly self-questioning.

Astral projection from the perspective of a Javanese mystic

Now allow me to explain astral projection from the perspective of an Indonesian mystic, particularly that of Javanese mysticism, as it's the most widespread form of mysticism known here in Indonesia.

There are certain ethnicities and tribes which have their own names, ways, and methods to perform astral projection, but that'd take much longer to explain and would need a separate thread to describe them all..

In Javanese Mysticism, astral projection is called "Illmu Rogo Sukmo." It is a skill which allows one to separate their

Over on 4chan's /x/ board there was this big deal about an alien thread which was supposedly immediately taken down...

The Buddha, the Teachings, and the Community of Practitioners

Buddhism traces its root back to the historical Buddha, born Siddharta Gautama, a yogi who lived more than 2,500 years ago in Northern India.

One prerequisite to identification as a Buddhist would be to take refuge in the Three Jewels, ideals at the heart of Buddhism. The Three Jewels include buddha, the dharma, and the Sangha.

Buddha is not just the historical person of the Buddha, but it's also what the Buddha represents-the potential

7 Day Water Fast: Postponed

I have decided to break my fast. I wasn't ready and didn't ease myself into it. After being broken again and again I saw that I wasn't prepared. Perhaps I was too over confident... I still reached 5 days, so I'm not too far from my original goal. I'll definitely try again sometime in the "future." Thanks for the homies who were following this little log. I was also straying too far from mindfulness and forgot the Buddha's teachings. Anyway, much appreciated again to those who were following me. If any of you guys have any suggestions for something else I could try, let me know.

Till next time.

7 Day Water Fast: Fatigue (Day 5)

Hey all. Welcome to Day 5.

Yesterday was just... in a word, miserable. Every inch was a hustle, whether through my physical body or my mind.

Towards the beginning it was very similar to Day 4; I was tired, but I could still relatively function. But as the evening crept up, everything took a 180° turn.

R.I.P
It was truly torture, and I wanted to just sleep all day. Pain was everywhere. My mind thought and thought, going to realms I did not know even existed. Felt kind of like a bad trip. Like I said, I just wanted to rest.

Unfortunately however, I had a paper to write and was forced to operate on a half-dead brain. Easier said than done.

7 Day Water Fast: Changes (Day 4)

Hey all. Here I am, Day 4 of 7. I gotta say, things are getting really really hard. I've made some questionable decisions as well, but luckily I'm still in the game; I'm still fasting.

This is how you'll feel ↑
Day 4 was pretty difficult in the sense that I was hungry as hell and like usual, had no energy. For anyone fasting for a long period of time, I recommend you do not exercise. Initially doing exercises like cardio seemed to have gave me more energy, but the feeling is akin to downing a couple cans of Monster. You end up crashing like a mofo afterwards, and then you can't do anything and just get more hungry.

For the remainder of my fast, I'm gonna rest whenever I can.

I've decided to modify my fast further and from now on just drink water rather than tea, coffee, or any of the other drinks I mentioned previously. This is partly because I made a slight hiccup when I chewed on a few

7 Day Water Fast: Pushin' Along (Day 3)

Day 3 of my 7 day water fast.

Today was interesting, for sure. Compared to Day 2, I definitely wasn't as tired, and I didn't get any painful headaches. I did seem a bit dehydrated towards the end, but all in all less head rushes, less discomfort, and for the most part, at-least in the beginning, less hunger. I also experimented with working out in this fast state- nothing too major, just some light lifting and cardio. Interestingly enough I seemed to have more energy after the workout, not less, but only after I did cardio.

Towards the end of day,  that's when things got a bit tough. I had incredible hunger cravings. I was really

7 Day Water Fast: Unbalanced Steps (Day 2)

Hey all. I have currently reached Day 2 of my 7 day water fast.

I experienced a lot of different things this time compared to the other shorter intermittent fasting sessions I've done. I was somewhat caught off-guard, but I managed to hold my ground.

I had a very big dip in my energy levels. I could barely move, at times. Much of it felt like the first few days of doing a low carb diet honestly; you really had that "flu" feeling.

A lot of head rushes... any time I stood up, I felt dizzy. It made moving around all the more harder. I thought it may be because I was dehydrated, so I started drinking a lot more water. It helped a little bit, but not too much.

My heart beat also seemed to accelerate at times-this began after I took a hot shower. It was like that feeling

7 Day Water Fast: 24 Hours In (Day 1)

I've begun my 7 day water fast and have currently reached 24 hours.

In this fast I'll be consuming nothing but water, green and black tea, and perhaps coffee.

My reasons for undergoing on this fast are both twofold spiritual and physical. I'm doing my best to not let my physical goals outweigh the spiritual goals, but I'd be lying if I said I had no physical goals, thus so it is.

Prior to this fast, I'd been experimenting with intermittent fasting and had previously reached up to 22 hours. This marks the first time I've begun a longer fast.

Earlier in the morning I had a dream where I broke my fast. It's funny, because when I woke up it took me a while to realize that I didn't actually eat, haha. If anyone is curious, I ate Armenian Dolma, which are grape-leaves wrapped with rice and meat.

Other than that, I've had a slight dip in my energy levels, but my hunger pangs haven't been too bad. There
